Mental-health support for chronic illness.

Virtual family-medicine care focused on the emotional and psychological impact of long-term conditions. Every service is delivered by an Alberta-licensed family physician. Eligible visits are billed to Alberta Health Care.

Illness-related mental-health support

Symptom-related distress
Discussion of the mental-health toll of ongoing symptoms — flares, unpredictability, avoidance, and functioning. Illness management strategies within family-medicine scope.
Medication management for illness-related mental health
Review, prescribing, and adjustment of medications for illness-related anxiety, depression, and sleep, within family-medicine scope. Coordination with your primary care physician on any physical-condition medications.
Ongoing follow-up
Structured follow-up appointments to support adjustment, coping, and daily functioning as your chronic condition evolves.
Coordination and referrals
Coordination with your primary-care physician and specialists. Referrals to psychiatry, psychology, or community mental-health services when clinically appropriate.
Preventive care within scope
Screening, immunizations, and preventive care within family-medicine scope, mindful of your chronic condition and how it interacts with the mental-health side.

What HealMaze is not.

HealMaze is virtual family medicine. It is not an emergency service, a hospital, a specialist clinic, or a replacement for in-person care when your condition requires it. It's also not a substitute for psychiatry or long-term psychotherapy, but we can connect you with those services when they're the right fit.
