Built around the realities of living with chronic illness.

A chronic condition affects more than physical health.

It disrupts sleep, work, relationships, and mood. Symptoms feed stress; stress feeds symptoms. That side of living with a chronic condition rarely gets its own appointment.

HealMaze is virtual family-medicine care focused on the mental-health impact of chronic illness, for adults in Alberta. Alongside your primary-care physician and specialists, not in place of them.

Care starts with the person living with the condition, not the condition on its own.

How we approach care.

Longer appointments
The mental-health load of chronic illness rarely fits into a ten-minute walk-in. Our appointments are structured so there is time for the emotional side, the day-to-day realities, and what matters most to you.
Focused on the mental-health impact
Living with a long-term condition affects mood, sleep, and functioning. Our physicians assess and support that impact within family-medicine scope, alongside your existing care.
Ongoing follow-up
Adjustment to chronic illness happens over time. We schedule follow-ups, review medications for anxiety or low mood, and refer to psychiatry or psychology when clinically appropriate.
With your existing care team
HealMaze complements your primary-care physician and specialists — it does not replace them. With your consent, we coordinate so the mental-health side of your care is part of the picture.

Co-founded by physicians and operators.

HealMaze was co-founded by Alberta-licensed physicians and an operations lead. The physicians provide all clinical care. The operations lead is responsible for building HealMaze, shaping the patient experience, and running the day-to-day.

How we practise.

Visits emphasize listening, shared decisions, and clear communication. We work through your concerns, talk over treatment options, and put together a care plan you can actually use.

Virtual care has limits. When an in-person assessment or specialist referral is the right next step, we say so and help coordinate it.

Our physicians practise in accordance with the standards of the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta.
